Meet Israel Sanchez

This month, we would like to feature field technician Israel Sanchez. He has been with International Lining Technology since June 2011. International Lining Technology is one of the nation’s leading geosynthetics and geomembrane contractors. The company installs pond lining, pit lining, pad lining, canal lining and secondary containment.

What does his job entail?

Installation, welding and testing of geosynthetic materials

What previous experience does he bring to the job?

Sanchez was new to the geosynthetic industry when he started with International Lining. Previously, he worked in new home construction, remodels and home upgrades.

What does he enjoy most about his job?

Traveling to new places and meeting new people

What is one surprising aspect about your job that people don’t know about?

“People are surprised when I tell them I work in landfills. I explain how the landfills protect the ground and environment. It’s a very interesting job.”

What do you like to do outside of work?

“Outside of work I like to go to the beach, ride my ATV in the sand dunes and spend time with family. I am in a new relationship and am also expecting a new baby.”
